We rented from Carole Davis for 3 years, during those 3 years we complained about several things that were never fixed. The water heater in the house was terrible and they never fixed it, they never fixed several outlets that didn't work. Their maintenance people were a joke! When we left we made them aware of several other issues and then they tried to charge us saying that it was our fault. Luckily after a back and forth battle we didn't have to pay and were reimbursed for things they did charge us for. We were told to leave both the water and electricity on and after the walk thru and they would be switched for us. A month later we got a water bill because they never switched the water like they said they would and then told us we had to pay it because it was our fault and in our name still, saying they were only in charge of the electric, but again that is not what we were told. This company definitely needs some improvement and I wouldn't recommend them to any renters out there.
Military renters beware. Carole Davis Real Estate does not honor the North Carolina Military Deployment clause, despite it being present in the rental contract. I have had multiple soldiers with this issue with this company. Not until we involved JAG did Carole Davis submit to the requirement that they must relieve renters of the rental contract upon receipt of either orders for a deployment, or a signed memo from the Commander informing of the upcoming deployment.
Carol Davis real estate by far is one of the best realty companies we have ever dealt with. I would highly recommend this company
